Thinking Of Starting An Online Network Marketing Business?
|
By Gregory McGuire
If you've looked around the Internet at all, you know that the time couldn't be more perfect to start an online network marketing business.
Why do I say this? Well, with Internet traffic at an all time high, and people looking for alternative ways to make a living, especially in the current economy, many are seeking out online businesses to start. An online network marketing business is the ideal model in this case.
What makes owning your own network marketing business so attractive? Many would say it's the lack of a boss. There's nobody telling you what to do or how to do it. You don't have to worry about biting your tongue, especially if your boss is someone you don't really care for. If you own your own network marketing business, you never have to be around people you don't like ever again (OK, maybe at family gatherings, but . . .).
A time clock is also a missing element when running your own business. You don't have to start at a
certain time, and work until the clock strikes a certain hour. You work when you deem it best. You set your own hours.
This is not to say that you can become a slacker. Just the opposite, in fact. Without a boss, you need to step up and become that boss. It's now up to you to make sure things get done. It can be hard work.
You also need to be teachable. Of the people I've seen who fail in this business (and there are a lot of them), virtually all of them tried to reinvent the wheel. They thought they could develop a better system than the one already in place. It's extremely important to follow the lead of your upline.
Try this: Find out who in your upline is making the kind of money you'd like to be making. Ask them what they do on a daily basis, and do the same. It's that simple. If you do what the successful do, how can you be anything but successful yourself?
While there is really no right or wrong way to promote a network marketing business, I prefer to do almost all my marketing online. I say almost all, because I do teach a class once a week, and close to the end of the class I'll announce that if anyone is interested in starting an online business to come see me after class. This usually brings me about 3 to 4 leads a week.
One reason I prefer online as opposed to offline marketing is that I enjoy it more. I'm not a "sales" type, not overly outgoing, and love writing articles and setting up online campaigns. When I go to bed at night, I simply can't wait to check my autoresponder in the morning to see how many new leads I have to work with.
I also find online marketing more profitable. I can reach so many more people online than offline, and they're much more targeted. Reaching more targeted people quite naturally translates into more sales.
Still another attractive aspect of online market is the automation. I'm open for business 24/7, and I'm global. I literally make money while I sleep. It's the ultimate in leveraging my time.
So, if you're one of those considering an online business (and in this economy, you'd be crazy not to), online network marketing is probably the most efficient way to go. It's far from easy, but well worth the effort.
